Upper middle class people with problems! Sex, lies, murder, but the bills are always paid. Chloe, starring Juli Moore, Liam Nee, and Bobo from Mean Girls is a remake of the French film Nathalie. The movie is about a gyno (Moore) who suspects her husband (Neeson) is cheating on her. She hires a young call girl (Amanda Seyfried) to temp her husband and confirm that he is having an affair. The music in the film (Mychael Danna) is simply fantastic. Top notch. The cine is seamless; amazing use of shadow. The sets and locale are super sick. The house they film in is crazy. Kahala Black Point Rd crazy. I’m not to good at describing these details. WARNING! SPOILER: Turns out Moore’s character gets the hornies from hearing the call girl’s stories of playing hide the pickle with her husband.

If you are in the mood for a Juli Moore dramatic thriller this film will suffice. Julianne Moore is top notch. She’s up there with Cate B. It’s hard to really appreciate great acting until you see really haggard acting. I’ve seen my share. Her eye shadow is always cool. Those make up folks know what they are doing and I am a stickler for these types of details. I was thoroughly surprised by Amanda Seyfried. She definitely held it down. Who would have known that boing-boing from Mean Girls would have turned out to have the most talent, aside from Tim Meadows of course. The only real issue I had with the film was the title. I would have went with Rebecca Black Friday, Rich People Problems, or Straight up Side Boob, anything besides Chloe.
